Once upon a time

I was called upon by the king and queen of the Pueblos Manor to mind two lovely princess.

Princess Monique.

And Princess Jasmine.

The king and queen planned a dinner date and they didn't want anything to happen to their lovely princesses hence, they asked their trusted babysitter.

Nikki, all you have to do is feed them, the king said.

So I fed them. Little did I know that kids are messy.

Exhibit number 1.

And run around the house like drunks.

Or a prisoner trying to break free.

But they do have a lot of energy.

I don't know if it was because they are young..

Or it had something to do with the cake that I made them eat.

They were definitely sugared up.

Sugared up enough to watch two movies in one night.

So before flopping on the couch, I made them brush their teeth and change in their pj's .

Prepare to watch a very boring cartoon, Nikki, I told myself.

But watching The Nutcracker made me want my future daughter to look like her.

Isn't she the cutest little thing? I want my kid to be chubby and cute. But mind you. Not a cartoon.

But still, I found the Nutcracker boring.

I was herding them towards the bed but they refused.

We're not sleeping, Monique complained.

So I popped an all time favourite.

Yep. Cinderella.

Or Cinderelly - as Gus would call it.

We watched the entire movie.

From where Gus was rescued by Cinderelly.

To the evil stepsisters.

To the grand ball.

As the credits started rolling, I noticed the the two princesses fell asleep.

Carried them to the room and waited for the king and queen.

While waiting, it made me think of when I will get my own prince charming.

I think I had a change of heart.

I think I'm ready to fall in love.

Anyway..

Tim Tam is back in the picture.

He called me last night telling me that he lost his phone and he was really sorry for not being in contact with me for the past three days.

Just three days and he thought I would get upset.

I didn't even realise that he wasn't messaging me.

But we were supposed to meet up on Tuesday but since he was pissed off at me on Monday night, I figured the Tuesday date wasn't gona happen.

But he thought it was still on and he couldn't call me to cancel so he used his home phone to call me last night to personally apologise.

I couldn't call you on Tuesday for our date because I lost my phone, he explained.

I didn't know if I should believe him or not.

But then...

I really like you and I want to date you and I think it could work. Please give me another chance. Please, please?

And...

Can I just come over? I won't hold you up. I just want to see you and apologise to you. Just give me ten minutes. I just want to kiss you. Please? Please, Nikki?

A guy that keen deserves to be given a tiny chance.

So I folded and told him that we'll organise something again.

You realise that I told you I like you, he said.

Yeah, so, I thought.

I really do, I don't know why, but I do, he continued.

I like Tim Tam, I guess we'll just take it from there.

Nikki is not running away anymore.
