There were a few things this day had brought

The day my cousin sent me the cutest photos of two of my nieces.

Rememer Bianca and Bea?

These were taken a month before they went here last April.

Aren't they cute?

And today was the day we decided to play tourist

Iris and I went to Broadbeach in search for some peace and quiet. We just came from uni and we both wanted to go have some dinner at Conrad Jupiters but since it was only five-thirty, we decided to got to the beach.

Comparing notes about our boyfriends is one of our favourite pastimes.

So we settled on a stretch of beach, sat on the sand and talked, or rather winged about Emmet and her boyfriend.

She was talking about this certain dilemma she was having when I started taking my camera phone out of my bag and started taking photos.

Keep talking, I'm listening, I said while snapping away.

Stuff it, there will be time to talk about that later over dinner anyway, I thought.

So I got up and started taking photos.

How can you not get distracted?

The sand was unbelievably white and the waves were ridiculously big.

Plus it was almost sunset.

We were in Broadbeach, with a camera phone and two camera whores. What did you expect?

So anyway, we went to the restaurant where we queued for half an hour. We can't help it, I love their Nasi Goreng and she loved their two-for-one special.

Now that is a funny story.

Ok, we were queueing for half an hour thinking, cool, we'll only get to spend ten bucks each for a reall good dinner.

But we were wrong. Because the promo ended 29 of August.

Dammit, so we have to pay full price, she fumed.

Come on, Nik, we can still get out of here, she coaxed.

But as soon as we thought of fleeing the restuarant, the maitre d' came up and sat us in our table.

I wouldn't say we were trapped, but it was sort of like that.

Although, the cutest waiter in the history of waiting - or so she thinks were working there. It was perve fest for her, Nasi Goreng for me. But he was pretty cute.

An hour later, we decided to walk the streets of Surfers Paradise.

You'd think that being locals in the Gold Coast, we wouldn't be in awe of Surfers anymore.

Well, we weren't in awe we just decided to be really silly and take photos -again.

On the right hand side of that mall is where my baby had his physical fitness training.

And meet my new boyfiend, John. Hehehe.

Oh sorry, I meant our new boyfriend.
We probably really did look like tourist because an elderly couple came up and asked us if we want our photos taken together.
See? The locals of Gold Coast really are friendly, ahem.
The day Iris unearthed all my I miss you Panget photos
After the exhausting night at Surfers, Iris shared these photos that she finally uploaded from her phone.

And since I am one hundred per cent narcissistic and annoyingly self-absorbed, allow me.

I noticed I looked the same in the four photos above. Meh. What can you do?

This earned a hug and a kiss from Emmet.

Well, that was my day. How was yours?
