I always thought I can never feel the Christmas spirit
But come to think of it, I'm feeling the Chrissy feeling this year. And the funny part is, I'm in Australia.
I thought I can never get excited about the yuletide holidays as long as I'm here.
But really I was wrong. Emmet and I decided to do some Christmas lights hunting last night.
We were watching the news when they announced this year's Christmas Lights winner.
Naturally, since we didn't have anything else to do and I'm still on my holidays, we decided to lurk around the Gold Coast.
We thought we wouldn't find nice Christmas settings but we were wrong.
The first house that we visited was from an old man who was really really disappointed for not winning the competition. Nevertheless, I still think his is one of the best.
He has the ferris wheel going on too.
After, we went to Sydney Nolan Street. It's the street's yearly tradition to put Christmas lights in their houses to celebrate Christmas.
Emmet got really excited.
Look at the lights, he said.
And there were many lights indeed. It was like a carnival.
Not only that, there were a lot people walking along the neighbourhood going from one house to the other to check out the lightings.
This little fella was tied in a pole.
He had a bicycle chain around his waist to prevent him from being stolen.
But how cute is it?
Of course the main reason for our Christmas Light Hunting was to check out the Grand Prize winner. Which no doubt deserved the prize.
We drove all the way to Pacific Pines but it was worth it!
I felt like I was in Disneyland.
Or North Pole. It really was magical.
I can't wait for Christmas!!!
