Ready, Steady, Cook
An old filo guy at work asked me last night if I speak in Tagalog.
Yes, I said.
Ilang taon ka na? he asked.
Twenty-one, I replied.
May boyfriend ka na? he pressed.
Wala po, I said.
Papakilala kita sa anak ko, he promised.
Ack! As if I'd want him to hook me up with his son. That would be utterly scary.
Then as the night wore on, he called out to me asking me my name. I rolled my eyes inwardly and faced him showing him my name badge.
This is *chef's name here*. He's been asking about you, he said. Quite loudly.
I looked at him and smiled. The chef was looking at me with a red face. It was funny, only I was a bit embarassed too.
He covered his face when the filo guy told me that he's been asking about me.
There's nothing embarassing about that. What's embarassing was the way the filo guy full-on pimped him in front of me.
It's not something I would pursue. It's just something that I found amusing.
So yeah, I'm amused.
Because..
Mark is coming
Yep. He's coming up today. Today.
I'm excited but at the same time my tummy feels funny. I don't know why. It's not because I'll get to see him again. It's also not because I have a feeling that we'll hook up - which we won't because he's married. Married.
I think it's because I'm not sure what my feelings towards him are and I'm still trying to suss things out. I'm not keen to see him. I admit, there's still a teeny tiny bit of feelings there but I'm not going to do anything about it.
I know, I know. I'm a coward. I don't walk too far away from the sidewalk.
But when I do, I always get run over.
Flowers for baby Bee
We haven't seen Amber for a day. We were sitting outside a cafe at bernie's uni when we decided to surprise her and drop by her office.
So off we went. We drove from Robina to Surfers while singing to the tunes of Pony, Say My Name, Dilemma, No Letting Go and Waterfalls. We went to the florist and bought her flowers.
We then stopped at her work and gave it to her. She was touched. Who wouldn't?
She called us up on her break telling us how sweet we were.
That is exactly why we shouldn't give girls flowers. They become so clingy with too much pressure, I said to Bernie.
That got a good laugh.
I swear, sometimes I believe that we are two ladies with penises.
Shopping, shopping and more shopping
Since am no longer broke. Bernie and I spent the entire day at our favourite haven - Pacific Fair.
We bought tops, skirts, moisturiser (for my rash - not THAT kind of rash) and sunnies.
It was fun. We both just realised that since she got here, we've been spending every single day together. We sleep over at each other's houses and we had guys over - all the time.
It is fun hanging out with my girlfriends. Us three are a couple.
We argue, we bitch, we go off at each other but at the end of the day, we're still tight.
I love my girlfriends. They're funny, they're gorgeous, they're fun to be with and they'll always be there for me - no matter what.
Work Crush
Do you think I'll get in trouble for pinching the photos with my crush on it at work? I so wanted to pinch one photo in particular. He looked hot in it. But then again, why would I pine over a photo when I get to see him everytime I go to work?
He is THE reason why I get up in the morning to work.
